On this trip, you will visit the archeological, historical and religious sites in the Old City and the City of David. Start the tour in Biblical Jerusalem (City of David) and visit the governing compound, the secret tunnel, the Gihon spring, the Hezekiah tunnel, and the Shiloah pool, go up Hagai Street to the Western Wall.

Continue on Hagai Street north of the Mamluk architecture and walk through the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, then, complete the tour by visiting several major sites in the Jewish Quarter including the Cardo, the Hurva Synagogue, and the Great Wall.

During the tour, you will understand the sources of Jerusalem's holiness for Judaism, Christianity, and Islam, and discuss the areas of dispute and conflict between the various religious communities in the Old City.

Options for expansion (depending on the group): stop for coffee at the Austrian hospice or the Crusader cloister at the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer, the audiovisual spectacle at the Tower of David Museum, views of the Temple Mount and the Mount of Olives, Mount Zion (Abbey of the Dormition, the Room of the Last Supper, and David's Tomb).

You must bring suitable clothing for walking in the water and headlamps, modest attire for the holy sites, 1.5 liters of water per person, and comfortable walking shoes.
