The village is located in the Western Galilee and is spread over several hills that rise 150 meters above sea level.

Julis is a significant milestone in the alliance between the State of Israel and the Druze community.

It is believed that the name Julis originated in the Roman period, in a father's house called Julius, whose sons settled in the region in the 1st century BC Another meaning is the word "Majlis" (seat of leadership).

Events & Attractions:

In this area, there are a variety of fascinating sites, including the tomb of Sheikh Ali Fares (1703-1753), known for his spiritual virtues and religious poetry.

You can visit the home and grave of Sheikh Amin Tarif, who was the leader of the Druze community in Israel for many years or walk in the garden of Al Mona, an extensive and well-kept garden created by one of the villagers to commemorate his mother.

Also, you can enjoy a tour of the Druze heritage house, which was built to preserve the Druze heritage.

There are several holy places in the village belonging to the Druze community including the Dome of the Tomb of Sheikh Ali Fares, Old Khilva (House of Prayer) for members of the Druze community, Dome of the Prophet Shuaib north of the village, and the Cave of Natifim - a place of seclusion of the late Sheikh Ali Fares - east of the village.

The village offers a variety of events during the year, as part of the "Kfar Bikartem" events, including the olive branch festival, which offers guided tours of olive groves, olive picking, visits to olive presses and more.

In the village, there is also a taste of the village - a culinary event that focuses on flavors and aromas of the authentic cuisine, alongside workshops and preparation of dishes, cordial hospitality in open houses according to the tradition and customs of the community.
