kibbutz Ma'agan Michael was established in 1949 on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and is
considered a success story in Israel and around the world.
The kibbutz still functions as a co-operative society. Its main sources of revenue are" Plasson "a global plastic company, "Dag-On" a leading fish and koi fish corporation, different agricultural branches, a de-salinization plant and many innovative new businesses. The kibbutz develops and uses cutting edge technology in many areas. It is also home to a bird sanctuary which attracts many people from Israel and around the world.
Yariv Sharon, was born and raised on the kibbutz and grew up alongside the meaningful milestones of the kibbutz. During the tour, he emphasize the history of the kibbutz, the co-operative life style, the dilemmas and many fascinating aspects of this unique way of life. Yariv invites you to share his love and knowledge of his home with you.

*The kibbutz laundry system – an old kibbutz institution that has hardly changed
*The co-operative car system- how it works
*Tour of the Third Generation Club house- how the kibbutz cares for its retired members
*Tour of a children's house – how the children grew up in communal lodging
* A walking tour to the kibbutz beach through the bird sanctuary and the fishponds

The tour is a 3 hour walking tour and includes a catered lunch in the famous kibbutz dining hall.
