The Kziv stream is one of the biggest and most beautiful streams of the Galilee, it starts from the Meron mountains and flows into the sea by Nahariya, the northernmost city in israel. In its valley grows a beautiful, dense, evergreen Mediterranean wood.
The Montfort fortress was built by the Teutonics, a cruseder military order, at the begining of the 13 century AD. and was the last fortress of the Galilee to stand against the assault of The Mamluk leader Baibars during the second half of that century.
In this tour we will starts by Mizpe Hilla (near Ma'alot) and roll down the stream, passing by the , impressive ruins of the crusader Montfort fortress, to Aczive beach.
From there we will continue north along the coast, up to Rosh Ha-nikra, a white chalk cliff face which opens up into spectacular grottos.
The Start/End points of the tour are reachable by bus from Nahariya (reachable by train from Tel Aviv / Haifa).
