A theatrical tour of Shivta National Park.
When was the last time you wandered around a city that has been abandoned for 1200 years? Iris Barzani invites you to embark on a journey to discover the secrets of the lost city in Shivta National Park in the Negev. Together you will walk through the alleys of the city, alongside the figures of past, and reveal the secret of life and the secret of the disappearance of the ancient inhabitants of the tribe, and perhaps you will discover a thing or two about us today.
Iris Barzani, an educator and veteran guide, has created an original and unique tour of Shivta National Park. Iris and her family moved to the Negev seven years ago, in an unknown area called "Nitzana's Secret Desert" in Moshav Kadesh Barnea. As part of Iris Barazani's educational and tourism activity, it became important to recognize the ancient neighbors who lived for thousands of years in the space, by which one can understand the secret of life in the past and today in the Negev.
The duration of the tour is up to two hours and can be extended to include a tour of the special space wherein agricultural communities have settled, alongside natural phenomena, and historical events.
The tours take place every day of the week, but participants must register in advance. Tours have a minimum of 9 participants. Tour hours will be adjusted according to the weather.
