Founded in 1871 by German Templers, this unique site underwent amazing changes. Its residents were first appreciated for introducing advanced farming and manufacturing practices to the region; but later expelled for being Nazi subjects – in the heart of the First Hebrew City. Sarona transformed into a British military base, then the headquarters of both the Israeli Army and the Mossad – and finally one of Tel Aviv's most popular shopping and recreation sites. The tour also includes food tasting at Sarona Market - Israel's largest covered market. It boasts of about 90 shops and stalls that offer every possible aroma and flavor, ranging from Zidkiyaho's savory specialties to delicacies imported from Italy. During the tour, we'll hear the behind-the- scenes stories, get to know the delicatessens and, of course, the breweries.
